Dress Code Policy
At The Art of Classical Ballet, we believe that discipline, professionalism, and attention to detail begin with presentation. All students are expected to adhere to the ballet dress code while in the dance studio. Proper attire not only shows respect for the art form but also allows instructors to clearly see alignment and movement, ensuring safety and precision in training.
General Guidelines:
Female Students:
Students should wear a clean, solid-colored leotard (color may be specified by level), with pink ballet tights and pink ballet slippers. Hair must be neatly secured in a classical bun. No jewelry is permitted, except for small, stud earrings. Skirts may be allowed at the discretion of the instructor.
Male Students:
Students should wear a fitted white or black t-shirt or leotard, black or navy tights, and black or white ballet shoes. Hair must be neat and away from the face. A dance belt is required for students in appropriate age groups.
Advanced/Pre-Professional Divisions:
Specific attire may be designated by faculty to reflect the level and focus of training. Pointe shoes or other footwear should be brought as required by the day’s schedule.
Additional Expectations:
* All attire must be clean and in good condition.
* Warm-up clothing is not permitted during class unless approved by the instructor.
* Street shoes are not allowed in the studio.
* Students should arrive dressed and ready to dance, maintaining a respectful and focused demeanor.
By following the dress code, students show readiness, discipline, and respect for themselves, their peers, and their teachers. Thank you for helping us maintain a professional and inspiring environment for all dancers.
