Applicant Recommendation

Please list the name and contact information of one recommender below. We will send a recommendation form on your behalf. Recommenders should be current or former teachers, private lesson instructors, mentors, coaches and advisors. Please do not ask family members or close friends.

Emerging Artist Introduction

We want to get to know you as a young artist and student! Please upload a 2-3 minute video introduction of yourself.

Theatre

Musical Theatre Song 
Please submit: 
-1 vocal solo performance video 
-Song must be from a published musical 
-Performances must include accompaniment (live pianist or instrumental track) 
-Videos should be clear and unedited (no cuts or effects) 
 
Monologue 
Please submit: 
-1 monologue performance video 
-Monologues should be 1-2 minutes in length and from published plays 
-Videos should be clear and unedited (no cuts or effects) 
 
Dance 
Please submit: 
-1-minute dance solo video in your favorite style (examples: jazz, contemporary, ballet) 
 
Music 
Vocal 
Please submit: 
-1 vocal solo performance video 
-Performances must include accompaniment 
(live pianist, backing track, or instrumental track) 
-Videos should be clear and unedited (no cuts or effects) 
 
Instrumental 
Please submit: 
-1 video of a scale of your choosing 
-1 instrumental solo performance video; 32 measures or less 
-The student’s face and hands/instrument must be visible 
-Performances must include accompaniment where appropriate 
(backing track, ensemble, or solo piece if standard for the instrument) 
-Videos should be clear and unedited (no cuts or effects) 
 
Visual Arts 
Portfolio 
Please submit: 
-A 2-4 minute video in which you talk about and share examples of your own creative work.  We are looking for authenticity, not perfection. 
-Show 3 pieces of artwork and/or 1-3 minutes of animation or film.  Work can come from school or personal projects. 
-Prompts for video: 
Describe something you’ve made (artwork, photo, film, design, etc.)  
What did you learn from the process?
